Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MemoChamp (the “site”). By using the site or creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using MemoChamp

MemoChamp is a training site for memory-sport events: drills, live matches, leaderboards, learning guides and tools. Most of it works without an account. You must be at least 13 years old to create one, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms on your behalf.

MemoChamp is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the World Memory Sports Council or any memory-championship organiser. Event formats follow published competition rules.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts to get around a limit, a suspension or a leaderboard rule.
• Tell us if you think your account has been compromised.

Fair play

Leaderboards and matches only mean something if results are honest. Don't submit scores you didn't earn or tamper with a drill or match: no scripts, bots, automation, altered requests, or looking up the answers, and no collusion with an opponent. Don't exploit bugs to gain an advantage; report them instead. We may remove results and adjust or reset scores or rankings we believe were not earned fairly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post content (usernames, bios, comments, images, notes) that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that impersonates someone;
• spam other users or use the site to advertise;
• attack, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer or probe the site or its security, or access data that isn't yours;
• use the site to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add: your profile, comments, notes, palaces, presets and custom systems. You give MemoChamp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it as needed to run the site, including showing public parts (your profile, scores and comments) to other visitors. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from routine backups and copies others have already made of public material. You confirm you have the right to post what you post.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these terms.

Reporting and blocking

Press Report on a comment or a profile to tell us it breaks the rules above, and choose why. We read every report, and where it is justified we may delete a comment, clear a profile, suspend an account, or all of these. We don't tell you the outcome of a report, and we may act on content nobody has reported.

You can block an athlete from their profile or from under their comment. Blocked athletes can't follow you, challenge you, comment on your results or be matched with you, and you no longer see their comments; any follows, rivalries and pending challenges between you end. They aren't told. You can see who you have blocked, and unblock them, in Settings. For anything urgent, or a concern a report can't cover, email the address below.

Our content

The site, its code, guides, blog posts, tools, artwork and the MemoChamp name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own personal training. Don't copy, resell or republish it beyond that. Reuse of our images is covered by the image licence.

Free and Pro plans

MemoChamp has a free tier and, where offered, a paid Pro plan with higher limits on how many items you can save. What each plan includes is shown on the pricing page and may change over time; if it does, we won't take away what you've already saved without notice.

• Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle's terms apply to the purchase, and it charges the price and any taxes shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled under Paddle's buyer terms and any rights you have under the law where you live. For a billing problem, contact us and we'll help.
• We may change prices with advance notice. A change applies from your next renewal, not to the period you've already paid for.

Availability and changes

We work to keep MemoChamp running but provide it as is, with no promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend or end the site or your access, for example if you break these terms or to protect the service. You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time.

No guarantees, and limits on liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. Training results, scores and guides are for practice and general information; we don't promise any particular improvement in memory or competition performance. To the fullest extent the law allows, MemoChamp is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or zero if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, give notice on the site or by email. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
