Memory Championship Leaderboard

The online leaderboard of MemoChamp athletes: the Championship Score across all 10 events, and the best score in each.

How the leaderboard works

What counts

Ranked runs: the full championship sheet of an event, and every ladder level, which runs on the championship's own clock on a smaller sheet. Your best run in each event is the one that ranks.

How points are scored

Each event is measured against its Millennium Standard and worth 1,000 points when you reach it. Your Championship Score is the sum across events, so ten events beat one, and a perfect ten is 10,000.

Seasons and countries

All time keeps every athlete's best ever. This season counts only this calendar month's runs (UTC), and when the month ends its standings are kept as that season's final results. This week counts the last 7 days. The country filter uses the country on each athlete's profile.

Online, not official

These are MemoChamp athletes' online runs. Official world rankings are earned at sanctioned competitions.

Memory sports leaderboard questions

Are these the official memory sport world rankings?

No. These rank the athletes who train on MemoChamp, from runs done online. The official world rankings come from the IAM and the WMSC and are built from results at sanctioned competitions. To earn a place on those, see the upcoming memory competitions.

How are championship points calculated?

Each event's best score is measured against its Millennium Standard, the World Memory Championship's own yardstick (31 January 2021 revision). Reaching the standard is worth 1,000 points, so a perfect ten events is 10,000. Spoken Numbers uses the championship's square-root rule, and Speed Cards is timed, so its standard is a time. Work out your own total with the championship points calculator.

How do I get on the leaderboard?

Create a free account and finish a ranked run: the championship sheet of any event, or one of its ladder levels. Your best score then appears on that event's board and counts toward your Championship Score. Pick an event on the training page, or run all ten in the mock championship.

Why isn't my score on the board yet?

Only ranked runs count: practice runs, custom runs don't, and a score under one point isn't listed. A score that is out of the ordinary, such as one above the world record or far above your own best, is held for a quick review and joins the board once it is approved. Boards refresh as soon as a ranked run is counted.

What is a season on the leaderboard?

A calendar month, in UTC. The season board counts only the ranked runs from that month, so everyone starts level on the 1st. When the month ends, its standings are kept as the season's final results, and every past season stays on this page.

Can I see the leaderboard for my country?

Yes. Use the country filter above the board. It goes by the country on each athlete's profile, so add yours in your settings to appear in it.
